£75,000 Bar Tab For Rapper 50 Cent
October 28, 2009
American hip hop artist 50 Cent, was feeling very generous while in London and dropped a whopping £75,000 to cover the bar tab at Soho’s Alto club where an after-party was celebrating the launch of the film Dead Man Running.
The 33-year-old super star took over the entire VIP section to accommodate his entourage, film colleagues and friends.
A guest at the bash said it was mayhem in the club when he arrived. The area was cleared for him and security ushered him straight through. There were already bottles of champagne on his table but the rapper asked for a magnum of Ace Of Spades champagne.
The guest added that 50 Cent appeared to be enjoying the attention as fans were trying to take photos with their phones and were calling out his name.
Immediately after his arrival, security staff found themselves in a state of panic as a group of about 100 girls attempted to enter the VIP area in a desperate move to meet the performer.
Security allowed 15 girls to get past them and 50 Cent even welcomed them at his table for the rest of the evening. The guest explained that 50 never turns a lady away, so was more than happy to accommodate them at his table. The girls drank his champagne directly from the bottle as 50 chatted away with them. Some were dancing around the table.
Earlier, the rapper had been at the London Film Festival for the premiere of the film Dead Man Running, screened at the Leicester Square.
In the movie, Curtis Jackson aka ‘50 Cent’ aka ‘Fiddy’, plays the role of a gangster called Mr Thigo, a character which closely resembles his past self.
Footballer Rio Ferdinand, who took part of the financing of the film, said the performer had done him an immense favour by playing in the movie.
50 Cent left the club alone around 3am. The rapper has been using a white Rolls Royce to travel around London since his arrival.
