Cheryl Cole Snubbed By Husband Ashley

X Factor judge and pop star Cheryl Cole has felt a cause for celebration as she has had the fastest-selling single of the year in the UK.

But the Girls Aloud star’s happiness proved short-lived as hubby Ashley, a football star, did not attend the bash to mark her commercial success.

She had organised a party at London’s Mayfair Hotel last Sunday to celebrate Fight For Your Love, her debut solo single, reaching No1 on the UK charts.

The young super star cancelled the celebrations only moments before toast-off, in an apparent flood of tears, as Ashley refused to attend.

A close friend of the couple claimed the pair is going through a serious patch at the moment.

The friend commented that Ashley is a little jealous of Cheryl’s success and doesn’t enjoy playing second fiddle. She said that there’s a lot of tension between them since the singer’s schedule just keeps getting busier and busier and Ashley’s success is presently being overshadowed. She added that he’s behaving like a spoilt kid because his wife’s solo career is really taking off now.

England and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole was watching from the seats when Cheryl launched her single track just two weeks ago, but he had to be badgered by her bandmates to do so. The couple’s friend said that at the time, he didn’t plan to attend the show but the other group performers gave him a lot of grief for it.

The famous couple’s relationship hit a soar spot last year when the footballer apparently had an affair with Aimee Watson. To make matters worst, he was charged for drunk and disorderly behaviour outside a nightclub earlier this year, just when his wife was climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief.

But the Cheryl is a little guilty of the same approach. Last April, the pop star chose a dinner party with bandmates at the Soho Hotel in London over an important game against Liverpool where her 28-year-old husband was playing.
