From this vacation rental not only will you enjoy the calm of cottage accommodation set in the country in South West France , near Cahors, where you can unwind, but you will have all the life of a thriving French village close at hand. During the summer why not enjoy the wine this region of France has to offer outside on the terrace of the gite or under the trees in an idyllic garden setting?

Each time of the year, brings alternative benefits. In Montcuq in mid winter there are Christmas and special festivities for New Year. Enjoy a spring in France with its lovely flowers. New growth in the Lot Valley is so attractive. The garden round the holiday cottage in France is filled with massed Lily of the Valley, tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other bulbs from February to April. Roses are in bloom all round the house from May. There are many trees in the garden and grape vines (with table grapes), climbing roses and wisteria growing around the gite.

The holiday house in France is situated in the Lot-Quercy region which is growing in tourist popularity each year. Whichever era of history interests you, you will be able to find it here. Prehistoric caves, pilgrimage routes, the Hundred Years war -history in the Lot region goes back thousands of years. 1000 year old churches that once lined the Pilgrimage Route to Santiago de Compostela in Spain remain in use today. While the holiday cottage is self catering there are cafes in the local villages and we have provided a restaurant guide in the house book.
