Victoria Beckham Fashion Theft Victim

British police are searching for some fashion–conscious thieves following a dramatic heist which targeted the $630,000 collection of new designer dresses all property of Victoria Beckham.

The ex-Spice Girl was rumoured to have been shocked and upset about the robbery which nabbed as many as 75 dresses from her exclusive line.

Her collection of precious dresses, which was due for a New York flight in order to end up in high-end Manhattan department store Neiman Marcus, disappeared as it was being delivered to Heathrow airport in London.

After a delivery stop, the van’s driver returned to his vehicle only to find its padlocks had been tempered with and as two men emerged while carrying boxes.

The driver reported to authorities that he had been knocked down, after the pair pushed past him to escape, an assault which left bruises and a shaken witness.

According to a source, this was an obviously well planned operation.

The fashion robbers must certainly believe the collection will fetch a little fortune on the black market.

Authorities informed Misses Beckham immediately about the heist and she was reported to be shocked and deeply saddened by the turn of events, although she expressed satisfaction at the driver’s well-being.

Beckham’s distinctive dresses have been recently worn by A-listers such as Dannii Minogue, Elle Macpherson and Drew Barrymore.

A Beckham representative said hopes are maintained that the spring/summer dress collection, with $1,800 as stating prices, would be remade.
